One question changes everything:
what is your next great adventure?
The NGA runs as three six-week, cohort-based quests for teens and young adults: Discover who you are, Commit to something hard, and Declareit to the world with your own NGA Talk — with up to $100,000 in prizes across this season’s three events.
Three quests. One adventure.
Each quest stands on its own and runs in a small cohort with a guide. Taken together, they walk you from “I don’t know what I want” to a public declaration the world can answer.
Discover
Most people are handed a path. Heroes start by mapping the traveler. In a small cohort, you work through the question underneath every other question: who am I, really?
What you learn
- Your gifts — the things you do that feel like play but look like work
- Your flow states: when you lose track of time, and why
- Interviews with people living lives you might want — stars and steppingstones
- A personal mission worth aiming your life at
What you walk away with
You leave with a map: who you are, where you are, and where you're headed.
Audition for Discover →Commit
Knowing yourself isn't enough — adventure starts when you choose something hard and say it out loud. This quest is the stake in the ground: a public commitment, tracked weekly, in front of people who won't let you quietly quit.
What you learn
- How to choose a challenge worthy of you — and put a stake in the ground publicly
- Deliberate practice: turning interest into evidence, hours into proof
- Finding mentors and real work — apprenticeships, projects, first customers
- Keeping promises when the excitement wears off
What you walk away with
You leave with proof: a public commitment kept, real work completed, and a story only you can tell.
Audition for Commit →Declare
The final quest: turn your journey into a ten-minute public declaration. You'll work the NGA story template, pass a clearness committee, and take the stage to make one specific ask the audience can act on.
What you learn
- The NGA story arc: who I am now, where I'm headed and why it matters, my ask and my promise
- Crafting an ask so specific the room can say yes to it
- The greenlight process: critique, revision, and earning the stage
- Delivering under pressure — and standing behind your promises in public
What you walk away with
You leave having given your NGA Talk — eligible for the season's three events and up to $100,000 in prizes.
Audition for Declare →Every quest starts with a short, free audition. If you’re accepted to Discover or Commit, tuition ($1,000 each) is due when your cohort is confirmed. Declare — the NGA Talk — is free start to finish.
